right or wrong
good or bad
high or low

or as an unknown final choice on a menu card

for if you dont decide
others start deciding for you.

I thought

I thought I would climb everest and meet
somebody new.
But I met myself, my old self.

I thought I would contemplate and find
something new.
But I found myself, my old self.

I thought I would discuss, debate and discover
something new.
But I discovered myself, my old self.

I thought I would work and create
something new.
But what I created was myself, my old self.
